ColoradoDoor.com is a division of Collinswood Designs Inc. founded in 1987. Collinswood Designs provides the construction industry with fine hardwood architectural products, sold predominantly through retail stores, with displays in over 400 stores nationwide. Our line of solid wood cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and specialty items continues the tradition, offering the cabinet shop, refacer, and homeowner alike a source for attractive, durable, high quality doors at a price and delivery time that could only be achieved by specialization. Our state of the art computerized machinery assures perfect fit, sizing, and repeatable quality in all our products. By using our doors, the small cabinet shop can spend less time on the tedious problematic construction of custom doors, while being assured that the most conspicuous element of their project will bring them high marks! They can concentrate more on sales and the “big picture” rather than achieving high craftsmanship in today’s difficult labor market.
Quality
Our machinery achieves results not available to the average shop. Miter doors feature blind mortise and tenon joints, the very best construction possible today. Very precise repeatable tolerances are maintained with computerized cutters. All doors are sanded with a 360 degree 240 grit scratch pattern to assure even staining. Our doors have pinned rail and stile joints for lasting durability. We offer carving options and custom arched valance boards as well. For mitered door profiles, we can custom cut molder knives in-house to create the unique shape you require.
Selection
We offer a wide selection of mitered doors ranging from the ornate to modern. Our “stick and cope” frame and panel doors range from intricately detailed traditional to simple Shaker designs. We offer a variety of eyebrow, cathedral, and other arched door styles. Our “standard” door style selection grows monthly. But in addition to stock designs, we can custom design or match door designs by mixing profiles and features. We offer a wide range of woods and cosmetic grades, from fine furniture grade to knotty rustic. We offer cherry, alder, oak, maple, and fir as standard stock items, and many others as demand requires, such as ash, hickory, walnut, etc. Paint grade doors are available in a variety of materials, and we offer a primer paint finish. All hardwood doors are offered unfinished. We accept orders in a variety of formats, but prefer our on-line ordering form, or excel spreadsheet. Doors are priced by the square foot, with a 1 ½ ft. minimum per door or drawer front.
